Raiders News · Athletes of the Year Announced

Congratulations to our co-female athletes of the year, Monique Sierra and Anna Kittelson and to our co-male athletes of the year Quincey Chapman and Malik Robinson.

Sierra was a 3 sport letterman in cross country, soccer and track.  She was named 1st team Academic All district in all three sports.  She was a unanimous 1st team all-district selection in soccer and a TASCO 2nd Team All-Region selection.  She helped lead the girls soccer team to the area playoffs after defeating the top ranked team in the city.   She signed her national letter of intent to play soccer at Texas Lutheran University.

Kittelson holds the Taft 18 hole, 36 hole, and 54 hole scoring records in golf. She received 1st team academic all-district, 1st team academic all-state and was a four time regional qualifier for the girls golf team.  She also served as the team captain. She signed her national letter of intent to play golf at Midwestern State University.

Chapman was a 3 sport letterman in football, basketball, and track.  He was an all district honorable mention selection in football, an area qualifier in high jump and signed his national letter of intent to play football at Mary Hardin Baylor.  

Robinson was a 3 sport letterman in football, soccer, and track.  He was the district champion in the 100 meter dash breaking the district record with a time of 10.83 seconds.  He was an area and regional qualifier in the 100 meter dash. He plans on continuing his track career at the collegiate level.
